Lead Strategy & Optimization Consultant (Linear Programming) – Remote/Online (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Are you a problem solver with a passion for data analysis and linear programming? We are looking for a Lead Strategy & Optimization Consultant to join our team. This remote, flexible position offers full-time or part-time options. You will play a crucial role in optimizing our sales commission structure and other key business processes to support our profitability and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and Maintain Optimization Models:
    Develop and improve linear programming solutions for complex challenges related to commissions and profitability, using tools like Excel Solver, Python libraries (PuLP/Pyomo), or other LP solvers.
  • Collaborate and Lead:
    Work with teams across Sales, Finance, and Operations to gather requirements, test solutions, and implement best practices in optimization.
  • Conduct Scenario Analysis and Reporting:
    Run simulations using real-world data, and present findings to stakeholders. Focus on trade-offs related to commission structures, margins, and profit.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement:
    Identify new optimization opportunities within the business, propose solutions, and provide guidance and training on linear programming methods to team members.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Solid background in linear programming, optimization theory, and data analytics.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to solve complex business problems using advanced models and analysis.
  • Clear Communication: Ability to explain complex solutions simply to non-technical teams.
  • Leadership: Experience managing cross-functional teams or projects, especially in analytics or operations strategy.
